Replacement height sensors.

I am getting some erratic readings from the front height sensors so intend to replace all four while I'm at it.
Is there a quality make that is cheaper than the Land Rover part but better than a 'Britpart' as fitted at the moment. £600 is a bit eye watering but if they really are better, then . . . . . . Big Cry Forty years of progress. 1972-2012

There are a few things that the forum end up discovering that the original LR ones are the ones to get, and height sensors are one of those items.

I’m not sure if that’s because mixing makes causes people a few issues….. maybe 4 Britpart ones work ok together but no experience of them.

I’ve replaced them with original LR ones as they fail and no issues.

Maybe you don’t need to do all 4 but that’s obviously up to you.

Happy to be corrected but I’m pretty sure that’s the collective thinking.

Same here, original height sensors, one front, one rear, no further problems, non-genuine might well work but genuine does work.

Thanks MJ and Red Hot. Point taken.
I will change the fronts to Land Rover ones and leave the rears for now as they are originals. Forty years of progress. 1972-2012

I had one fail and replaced it with genuine but then bought front and rear pattern parts to keep in the car for emergencies as when they fail it can leave you stranded 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Having spares on board is a great idea.
Dropping to the bump stops whilst towing a two tonne caravan is not fun.
To happen once was unfortunate, the second, beyond a joke. I intend to avoid a third!
After five to ten miles towing a suspension warning appears, followed shortly after by 'restrict to 30 mph' and 'low rider mode' engaged. The slammed look does not suit a Range Rover. Laughing Forty years of progress. 1972-2012
