Passenger door locked up

Tried the search.. but mine seems to be a remote problem.
All doors are locked. I use the remote or the central button and everything unlocks but the passenger door. I cannot use the handle to open it either.
At one point all of a sudden the remote had opened all doors.
And bingo the door handle worked as well.
Unfortunately now everything is locked again and I can't get the passenger door open..
Is that a typical door module problem?

United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover HSE Td6 Giverny Green

YES it is. At least in my case. I have a 2003 TD6 and 2004 4.4 petrol. Both cars exhibited the same problem when I purchased them. You do not state what you car is so what I did may not apply if your car is later Ford electronics.

I already had BMW INPA diagnostic software from a previous BMW car and used it to connect and carry out function tests on the central locking. It provides options to lock and unlock both front doors individually - I can't remember the descriptions but it covered the problem with 'superlocking' and through a combination of selecting all the options a few times to lock and then un-lock the passenger door the problem was resolved and never came back.

Sounds too good to be true but on two different cars it worked and no need to damage the door card to do what? damage the lock mechanism ?

All I can say is the BMW INPA software is available either free or at sensible cost if you have a pre- Ford car and is extremely capable - it will not connect to all systems on the car though as the Land Rover VIN I suspect causes issues - I cannot give you any more advice on using the software as I don't have the time but good luck Current: 2003 TD6 HSE
