Any Ideas?

I have an MY 2011 TDV8 which has only done 52K miles as I tend to only use it for longer journeys.

I regularly check it for fault codes on my GAP tool and am happy to report it is usually clear apart from the usual trivial ones like the sound system and such like which clear immediately.

That said I have been getting periodic red DPF Full messages and limp mode even during long motorway drives without any yellow warning. It appears that it just fails to instigate an automatic regen so I have to force one which it does very successfully.

Today when I got the red warning I checked the soot level and it reported 31.4grams.

Has anyone any Idea how it gets to this point without doing an automatic regen when motorway driving?

I have checked for faults and even done a high pressure smoke test but all to no avail. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Have you enabled ‘pending faults’ in the advanced options of the GAP tool fault menu? Is the fuel level very low? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I haven't enabled "pending faults", that is something I wasn't aware of so I'll take a look at that.
Will that trigger automatic regens?

I always keep plenty of fuel in the tank as I know it won't initiate a regen if the fuel gets below 1/4? tank.

Thanks for your help 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Enabling Pending faults won’t in itself initiate a regen but may show intermittent or minor faults that are preventing a regen such as sensors out of range. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
