23" Style 1075 Alloys - cracking?

Hi,

Has anyone had any problems with their alloys cracking, particularly the 23" style 1075?

I had a low tyre pressure warning, got the wheel off expecting to find a puncture, but instead found a crack in the alloy!

I don't recall going over anything particularly big, but obviously there are plenty of potholes everywhere.

Not especially impressed as they're not cheap...but just wondering if anyone else has suffered from this or if I've just been unlucky!

Thanks MY25 D350 AB

Yes… I could if written your post, no recall of any large bumps. £70.00 weld fixed it.
But then I had the same thing about five years ago on 21 inch …. Just unlucky. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Yes I think you're right, just unlucky!

I've ended up buying a new alloy, but will probably get the existing one welded as a spare.
I was slightly put off by welding, but I had it done to a previous BMW and it was fine.

Hopefully it doesn't happen again! MY25 D350 AB
