Took the current fatty for its first service and MoT in my ownership. As my favoured MD shut it’s doors in February, I went to Stratstone in Tonbridge. I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of service; they were efficient and kept me informed and gave the car a good wash - something I can’t do thanks to a hosepipe ban.

Well, service was uneventful, no adverse wear and tear and MoT had no issues either. Not cheap, but was actually less than quoted at smidge over £800. I was happy with the price and the customer service, so will likely use them again. 2024 - >. 2021MY L405 5.0 SC Portofino Blue

Did you look for any other independents nearby? I want to have a few options ready for when mine will need servicing. I am very close to you though so interested if you found any others in your search.

I didn’t. The car was still under LRAU warranty so I took it to the MD. First time I’d used Stratstone (used to be Jardine/Lancaster) as previously a customer at Harwoods in Edenbridge, who closed down in February this year. I’d been using them since 2000 because they always looked after me.

As for Indys, I’ve not really ventured thst way. I hear good things about Dartford Transmissions in Dartford and RCV over in Paddock Wood do good PR, but have not heard from anyone I know what they are like. 2024 - >. 2021MY L405 5.0 SC Portofino Blue
