2012 tdv8 bonnet release cable loose not snapped at handle

this snapped while back and got it open with pliers and changed handle and cable. However went to it today and nothing, new cable at handle end is not snapped and I think its become disconnected or something at the join up beside strut top/wing. Feels like it and can hear rattling sound up there when play with cable. Not seeing any way to get to catches, grille and looks like plastic shroud obscuring them, certainly cant see quick way. What are my options?

to get bonnet open

can you get to cable via arch liner wayor do I need to snap grille off, destroy plastic shrouds etc and go from there, so frustrating, was about to start on discs pads and prop shaft

You can't get to the bonnet catches via the grille aperture. LR have learnt from previous security mistakes on other models and fixed a metal panel below the cable run area.

You can get to the drivers side of the latch mechanism through the inner wheel arch on that side. Unfasten the plastic liner and pull it back & you can reach well forward to grab the catch / latch cable.
If you didn't know : there's a cable between the 2 latches , then another cable to a joiner part way down the wing before the final cable into the cabin & lever. Paul,

Thanks, do you need to get hold of the end where it joins or can you just pull the whole thing to release? thanks

Reached up as suggested and got it, thanks for tip. When i had fitted new handle and cabin part of cable, where it joins, I hadnt obviously clicked the wee connector box back together properley and it had opened and allowed cable to detach, sorted, thanks
