2007 3.6TDV8 Vogue SE

This is a new thread that doesnt seem to have been covered before. Ive checkedall the threads on new keys and cant find this problem anywhere, so here goes.

Got a new key from Duckworths, (thankyou for the discount!)
Used the threads on here to code the new key to the doors. No problem, (thankyou for the threads!). All 3 keys now open and lock the doors, but the new key wont turn in the ignition.

SUGGESTIONS?

Could it be that the new key has no power and needs to sit in the ignition to draw some power?
Could it be that it needs coding to the ignition with an IID tool?

Any thoughts and suggestions much appreciated.

Chip needs coding to the immobiliser, should be able to do it with the iid tool

If you send pat at iid an email he should be able to give you an idiot guide to follow, I tried with an aliexpress key, couldn't make it work but a land rover original will be doable 👍
