I’ve been getting condensation in both headlights when the temperature dictates, but each trip to the dealership ends in, ‘they all do that sir’ and LR refuse to swap them.

Recently I’ve noticed the auto high beam fails to operate when it feels like it, particularly if there is condensation present. The dealership don’t consider this a fault because it’s only a driver assist item! Nor do they consider it a safety issue. I am speaking to the Dealer Principle, nowadays known as the Manager, next week.

Does anyone know where the sensor(s) are for the auto high beam and whether it’s function is likely to be affected by condensation in the headlights? MY23 D350 HSE

On the 405 it is behind the rear view mirror I would think the 460 is the same, it needs to be high up... Pete

Apologies for raking up this thread, but better perhaps than starting a new one on Auto Beam.

Just back from a tedious rain soaked trip to a London/Kent and the auto beam is yet again not working. Its amazing how much we rely on it after 40 years of driving and dipping manually. Did your replacement headlights fix the auto dip failure/ malfunction? My car just going out of warranty so I need to sort this.
