Rear bumper scuff plate trim replacement

My 2012 scuff plate is looking a little faded and jaded. I looked into replacing it, however, they're very expensive for what's effectively a bit of moulded plastic.

Has anyone come up with a solution for tidying up that doesn't involve selling a leg ?

I put a stainless steel one on mine. About £90 if I remember right.
I wouldn't sell my leg for that much so I'm happy. Rolling with laughter

If its plastic try Gtechniq C4 Permanent trim trim restorer. Brings it back to as new, lasts around a year depending on usage of the car

It can be removed pretty easily, it just clips into place and can be levered out using a plastic trim tool with the lower tailgate partially open, give it a good clean then paint it using plastic / bumper aerosol paint.

Earlier models used a grey coloured plastic, later ones are black, which I think looks better. Jonathan
