Dead L322 . Gearbox gone bang.

2002 Vogue 4.4 V8 petrol with the BMW M62 engine. 189K miles.

Car will move but makes an horrendous noise in 1st gear, but actually silent in reverse or rolling.
Car was recently MOT'd and was my daily driver and drove fine.

Good points - both tailgates are rust free, has an Android CarPlay system with Google maps etc and reverse camera, wheels were refurbished a few years ago and has recent full set of Pirelli Scorpions, all 6-7mm on them, Complete front suspension arms and struts on the front in the past couple of years, has no warning lights, steering colunm motor works along with sunroof, ABS all good , seats, sunroof and aircon work great, full rubber matt kit, upgrade to a fully rebuilt ( new pistons,seals, paint ) set of Brembo 4 pot TDV8 front calipers. Generally quite clean and tidy inside, no iffy dash pixels. 2 keys.

Bad bits - usual L322 wheel arch rust and on one rear quarter.
Small engine coolant leak At 189k miles the timing chain isn't the quietest but also not rattling to death.
Power fold mirrors turned off as one didn't work, one headlight wiper motor doesn't work.

Car is near Dartford, Kent. Will drive and unknown short distance and onto a trailer, but you won't be limping it home and I won't be delivering it
Only turn up with a trailer. The gearbox hasn't exploded or dripping parts/oil, it's something internal.

Please don't ask about parts/breaking, car is sold complete.

Unsure what it's worth. Someone offered £700 which I'm waiting for a response from. I'd take that.

Was thinking maybe a 4.4 or TD6 owner would take the wheels , TDV8 brakes and Android CarPlay unit and swap the lot and still have loads of bits.
If this local scrap man takes it much of it will be wasted. Bit gutting that for some reason.
