It’s a few months now since I had my car fitted with a new Android head unit and I am still extremely happy with its performance, but, and there’s always a but, I have got one annoying niggle that I don’t know how to fix.

If I remember right, there is a fuse you can pull to reset it to 12 o’clock…. Which, well, you pull and reinsert at 12.

With the Android head units, the easiest way to reset/set the time is park near the house. Connect the Android unit to your WiFi and it should update the time accordingly, otherwise go into the settings and modify it in there. With the WiFi setup, anytime you come home it should connect to the wifi and update time. |

Just to be clear, the time on the new Android/ CarPlay head unit is correct , it is the time on the original car clocks that is wrong, and of course they were set via the original head unit which has now been replaced with the Android unit.

Yes, I had the same unit and it would set the time on the car from the Android headunit, so maybe setting time in Android or updating it, might re-set the cars time. |
