Android head unit - Clock problem.

It’s a few months now since I had my car fitted with a new Android head unit and I am still extremely happy with its performance, but, and there’s always a but, I have got one annoying niggle that I don’t know how to fix.
The original car analogue and digital clocks are both now showing nearly 10 minutes slow compared to the CarPlay display time and I don’t know if it is possible to get them to show the correct time.

It is very likely that the clocks have always run slow but I haven’t noticed , only resetting them twice a year to make BST/ GMT adjustments when the clocks change.

I have asked Lee who fitted the new unit if it is possible to adjust the original car clocks, but he hasn’t responded yet.
I am just wondering what will happen when the clocks change back to GMT ,

Any help anyone ??

Cheers

If I remember right, there is a fuse you can pull to reset it to 12 o’clock…. Which, well, you pull and reinsert at 12.

In answer to what will happen at GMT, based on what you said, probably nothing but I don't know.

Can you carry on not noticing as before or has the horse bolted now?

Can you pull fuse 40 for a bit and see what happens?

Can you disconnect the battery and set the time/date anew?

Can you put the CarPlay back 10 minutes? 2012 Vogue TDV8 in Aintree green over sand

Thanks for replies.

Update:-

Lee the fitter has just replied.
Apparently it can be adjusted in settings, but I’ve not found it yet, but think I can live with it as is until after the clock changes back to GMT. then see what I can find.

Rolling with laughter
I have a bit of an OCD about clocks.
I maintained our local parish church clock for over30 years, only calling it a day when we moved house.
and it was always within +/- a couple of minutes.

With the Android head units, the easiest way to reset/set the time is park near the house. Connect the Android unit to your WiFi and it should update the time accordingly, otherwise go into the settings and modify it in there. With the WiFi setup, anytime you come home it should connect to the wifi and update time.

Just to be clear, the time on the new Android/ CarPlay head unit is correct , it is the time on the original car clocks that is wrong, and of course they were set via the original head unit which has now been replaced with the Android unit.

Yes, I had the same unit and it would set the time on the car from the Android headunit, so maybe setting time in Android or updating it, might re-set the cars time.
