If its got the motor and wiring to the motor you definitely have an ediff.

Regarding your previous service history, I reckon you should take it with a big pinch of salt 🤔

Yep I know the garage and do not either rate or trust it. There is no motor on the diff but it has wires going in and topix states it has an ediff and this garage apparently replaced the fluid with stated non ediff fluid.

Looking at the fill and drain plugs I don't think they have ever been out

Started on the full service today was front brakes and oil n filter. The front brakes have been making a noise os front I checked and cleaned them up last week which pretty much sorted the noise. I new the front pads were about half worn if not a little more.

Well the pagid pads are dusty as hell a squel like mad so I got a full refund. I'm gonna pull the pads out and try some brake grease on the backing plate old style.
Other than that it's running well still got the hole to braze on the aircon pipe and regas it before my trip to Eypres in Belgium next month.

Installed Brembro pads these are old stock from ECP before they started selling the crap ones made under licence using the brembo name. Let's see how these do.

New nuts I had 1 to many swollen nuts and the locking nuts have seen better days. I did want the satin black I think they look OK against the shadow chrome.

With ice cold air con that must have been a nice way to do that trip!

I fancy going to the continent in the car but the wife isn't keen. Biggest problem for us is there's a days travel to get to the port in the UK unless we sail from Newcastle to Amsterdam.

Return ticket on the ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam for the car, caravan, 2 adults and a 2 year old was over £3k last time I looked though!

Well nothing to report everything works air con still ice cold since my diy pipe fix. Those other brake pads (brembo) are just as bad as the others I fitted so I'm going to swop them again with new discs iv had good service with meyle pads and discs in the past on our D3s .

Car is a very nice place to be I will be wofting down to Cornwall soon for a few days.

Body work wise it's almost as clean as I can get it.

Mot time today, this is my 1st with this car.
Passed with a clean bill of health slight cut in the tread on 1 of the rear tyres
Am waiting on some ceramic brake grease to see if I can silence these front brake pads before I bin them
