Rear bags

Has anybody ever replaced their rear bags? Just interested to see who has and which company you used……

Same really for rear shocks - what make and did you notice a difference in ride? Mine are still original(!) 2007…… 2007 Range Rover Vogue 3.6 TDV8

Any problems with leaks or signs of the airbag rubber deteriorating around the main fold area?
Does the rear end feel bouncy when you push it down and release it or does the cars handling feel unstable when cornering?
If it's not broken - don't fix it. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

When I replaced the fronts which had 'perished'

I also bought a pair of rear bags as I though they would be in the same condition but upon inspection they were absolutley fine so left them alone. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Thanks for the replies - I may just leave them alone and change the dampers. Bags are original and look to be pretty stout! 2007 Range Rover Vogue 3.6 TDV8

All the air suspension in my 2011 is original to the car. I just examined front and rear suspension this week. Front looked similar to the pic in the above post, albeit not quite as bad. The rear bags have no cracks, but both dampers have leaks. So, same as you, I'll just do dampers. 2011 L322 HSE Lux 5.0 NA

Minor fluid seeping from CVD rear shocks is normal and not a sign of failure or a need for replacement. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I replaced them on my old 2007 L322 with Bilstein. I never had any problems with them but I've seen others saying that the bags are too short and tend to cause trouble if you put the car into off-road height.

I can see the logic in not replacing them if they're not leaking, however, if they burst and leave you stranded they could be a nightmare.

Personally, I'd have a good look at them and make sure the rubber isn't showing any signs of perishing. On both of our 2012 cars the bags look to be in great condition.

AFAIK it’s only the later cars with CVD shock absorbers which cause a problem with some air bags. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Longer shocks were fitted to MY07-MY09 TDV8 but they weren't CVDs. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims

I’m acutely aware that as I am now in possession of a early type rear sub frame for 2007 RR that am I going to have to replace the rear arms, suspension, toe links, ride height sensors etc to retrofit?! 2007 Range Rover Vogue 3.6 TDV8
