Transmission Fault, No Codes

Hi all,

Have had a 'transmission fault' message a couple of times in the last two weeks.
It doesn't go into limp mode and it disappears almost immediately.
Is this anything to worry about? Should I just keep on driving?
Transmission fluid changed recently, mileage is 158,000.
Have looked with the GAP tool and no codes recorded. All the best

So got the transmission fault on the instrument cluster again today after hard acceleration when joining the motorway. Then I think the transmission was slipping in 6th gear. I know I should have 2000 rpm at 70 mph and I was only doing 65 at slightly over 2000rpm.

Driving normally at lower speeds/gears.

Checked for codes in the transmission module when I got home and no codes.

ZF/automatic gearbox specialists are a bit thin on the ground here. The one I know and have spoken to thinks it is a failing E clutch due to bushing wear and the transmission needs a full rebuild at a eyewatering cost of 3500 Euro, ouch.

Any Irish members know of a good specialist?

Any advice or comments very welcome... All the best
Chris
