Lower tailgate release - Help

Hi guys

Yesterday, when I went to open the lower tailgate on my car, the electric motor did the usual sound, but it never opened the tailgate.
As soon as I tried to use the latches to manually release it, the right side one snapped.



Taking into account that the flap snapped, how do I open the lower tailgate?
At least to be able to replace the lock...

Do I have to take everything out? Dismantle the whole part, or is there another way?
