I decided to try 99% rubbing alcohol of the steering wheel buttons as they were really gummed up and looks terrible, also they were really sticky to touch. Just used some rubbbing alcohol and very happy with the outcome. Here are some before and after photos, took about ten minutes rubbing but worth it.

I nearly bought a used pair for £65 but glad I didn’t , they take a bit of elbow grease but can be done in about ten minutes and the results are worth it. I’m going to seal them with some interior cleaner so they don’t get gummed up again. |

That looks very neat Gary and more modern than the originals fitted to the earlier cars. I was tempted to go down that route too but cleaning was easier than swapping out, I may still buy a set in the future though. Did you find them easy to install ? |
