Gas smell from air vents and outside car

I've just noticed (or my kids have), a really strong smell of gas emanating from the outside of the RR when parked with the engine running or at traffic lights. I thought it was maybe doing a regen but that's 5 times over 2 days doing long trips that we have noticed it. It's like the gas smell you get in a house from a gas leak, not the smell of fuel. I have added a forte fuel additive in this tank but doubt it's that. Any ideas? I also stuck my nose down at the air vents and it smelt like it was also coming through those.

I did have a bit of fuel dilution a few weeks ago when I got the car serviced but the oil was changed at the time and I'd assumed it was from the previous owner doing lots of short trips.

Exhaust crossover pipe, or EGR pipes are the most common causes

Assuming a 3.0 T/SDV6

Thanks. It's actually a 4.4, I meant to mention that. Does that change things?

4.4 is very common for oil cooler leaking, and the smell of the hot oil being drawn back up and into the air vents
