KILOMETER Speedo L322 td6

Any ideas on how to change the speedo dial to MPH from Kph as mine is an import to the UK. Do you think the actual speedo needle moves the same amount between the two and a MPH dial face could be exchanged.
Thanks in advance L322 td6 2005

Why bother? The speeds of interest are an easy mental conversion. Very quickly you won't even think about it.

I started driving when we used to use miles and mph but when we changed in 1971, it was an easy mental conversion. I never changed the speedo on my Hillman from miles/mph to metric even though there were 1.6:1 adapters one could fit to the speedo.

I'm not sure what dash is in a 2005 model but the 2002-2004 models use a BMW speedo. I have pulled one apart to fix the missing pixel issue. I don't recommend it to anyone ham-fisted (not that I'm suggesting you are).

The needle should move the same amount because there are dual calibration dials on some models. Ron B. VK2OTC

If I’m not mistaken speedometer kph to mph on a Td6 can only be done by changing settings in the vehicle configuration file.

It's the law here, speedo's must read in mph.

Having said that, rather bizarrely, it's not an MOT (annual test) failure. But it is a road traffic offence to be caught driving a vehicle on the road which doesn't indicate the speed in mp/h.

To the OP, I would imagine the needle moves at a linear rate whatever the scale, but don't know for sure.

Lockwoods have replacement speedo face plates for the '02 on L322, see here:

Look at the picture below and see where the mph numbers are and compare to your km/h face plate:

BTW - Don't you just hate it when an L322 is referred to as a "Vogue"...
