I have somewhat of a wild idea and am looking to see if anybody globally has been able to get it done.
As you guys know the 4.4 TDV8 from an 07-09 was never offered in the L322 (US Spec).

I have a very clean body that I have and was wondering, has anybody ever done a gasoline (petrol) to diesel conversion in this chassis. I have reached around locally and nobody has done it.

Looking for insight- I’m quite aware of the work needed but I’m a diesel fan and always wanted one and really don’t want to wait until 2032 when I can import the entire car. I have the engine currently

4.4L TDV8 (ford) engine (8 speed gearbox) was only introduced in late 2009/2010.

Before that (2007-2009) it was a 3.6L TDV8 (6 speed box)

I assume you want to do this to have a 4.4TDV8 diesel in the US?

I have done the ZF8 swap on one of my 5L Supercharged trucks and it's a huge upgrade -- I would imagine the full diesel drivetrain is very well matched to the truck.

Your best bet to make this easy is probably to import a running and driving truck from Europe to Canada, drive it over the border then dismantle it and rebuild it into your good chassis. Without a parts car you are going to struggle. 2006 Ferrari F430 Grigio Silverstone over Cuoio 6mt
