2 post car lift?

Has anyone recently had experience of purchasing a new 2 post car lift? It's a nightmare out there, so many manufactures! I primarily want one for another car, 1500kg, but would be handy if it could cope with an L405!

I have no idea what's good or bad, lots of Chinese stuff about.... No idea what features are more beneficial over others.

Any comments, experiences- good or bad, please share?

Many thanks in advance,

John.

No experience with a 2-post, only 4-post. The thing I wish I'd bought but didn't was a cross beam jack. Have done my own thing with a shelf and a bottle jack but just not the same thing at all and nowhere near secure enough really. But 99.9% of the time its a vertical 2 car parking facility and its great at that as it is! Mike - MPx

Not two post but this works for me on my L322 & Boxster... they also sell 2 post lifts. rated at 3500KG

Really good experience with them and one of the major importers of lifts and been around years. Delivery and set up and based in Dartford.

I've 2 of these, in a busy workshop, used daily and have been faultless

https://automotechservices.co.uk/products/...post-lift/

If you are using it for a 405, you'll need to order it with 2x sets of the 3 stage arms
They come with a pair of 2 stage and a pair of 3 stage, and a 405 won't fit with this setup Thumbs Up

Also, one of these, which will lift everything we've thrown at it, albeit, a little more expensive

never had a two post, i bought a Bradbury hoist about 1969, it was fantastic, i sold the business and i have mist the hoist ever since.
it had beams that ran the length of the hoist, you could set the beams up, about 2second job and let the hoist down and the wheels were free.
i have been looking for a second had one for years but miss out every time, i have see a few for sale in England.
i have got one now, but it only three ton, its still fantastic.
have a look at Bradbury hoists
they are English or were, japan bought a lot of they in the 60s so i was told, photos were supplied RR 2005 4.4 petrol
