Update. I drained the reservoir and bags with the GAPIID tool. The car was then on its bump stops.

At one time you could get a service kit with all the seals etc. not sure if you still can.

Hopefully this fault is now fixed (for a while anyway). I bought a AMK Filtration and Exhaust Solenoid kit from 4x4Airseals to service the compressor. Its easy to do and just followed the 4x4Airseals videos on youtube. The fault does not reoccur on the GAPIID tool even after a test drive. When the system has vented there is now 1.35bar in the gallery compared to 0.19bar previously, so something has changed. The pressure builds to 15.5 bar in the gallery before cutting out the compressor. Previously the fault occured straight away. 4x4Airseals were rally good and delivery was rapid. Definately recommend them. |

I have a similar problem I suppose BUT did you monitor your v with the GAP TOOL for your exhaust valve and solenoid and were you getting weird values? What I have is an on and off on and off with venting to atmosphere that feels like a short. Interested in what you saw and how you diagnosed it or did yopu guess?

When the system vented the pressure in the gallery was 0.19 bar. Atmospheric pressure is 1.01325 bar. So the sensor was saying I had a vacuum in the gallery, which didn’t seem right. When I serviced the compressor the gallery pressure read 1.35 bar which is close to atmospheric pressure, therefore I think the sensor had failed. As I had changed the desiccant in the compressor and changed the sensor I can’t be sure which change corrected the problem. No issues with the vehicle since this change was implemented. |
