Thank you for your help, still not managed it but I seem to be making progress

You dont have to name the folders A,B,C etc I have titled them by the album names as the system moves from 1 folder to the other anyway. About 8 albums per disc sounds about right.
I find itunes too much faffing about if you are just wanting to convert to mp3 format Nero or something similar does it fine.  2006 MY Autobiography. With 'toys'

Arrgh! Still not managed it, downloaded Nero made playlist converted to mp3, burnt disc. Put it in RR and loading, nothing happens. Same disc in mercedes and it works. I need help

Mine is a 2008 and and I can play MP3's infact after reading this post despite using the wrong folder format I worked it out in the end  Present :2008 TDV8 HSE
Gone Audi A5 2.7TDI
