Phone error indication

On the old style centre screen on the top left there are 3 small oblong warning lights for the phone


Anyone know what the codes are / indicate?


Mine has the middle 1 flashing and its driving me Evil or Very Mad

Telephone operation lights
The telephone indicator lights show the following
conditions;
• Yellow: the phone logs in to another network
• Green: a connection has been established
• Red: telephone operation is not possible
• Red flashing: phone is not registered or the
SIM card is not inserted.

I believe these units are locked to O2 for some strange ... Please don't ask me why Whistle 2005 Audi A8 W12

Hi new one here, i have the same problem but im trying to insert a orange sim it works fine with vodafone and o2 are these units locked to these providers its driving me crazy theres nothing on the net about this anywhere please help Big Cry


I might be wrong but don't O2 and Vodafone use the 900 GSM signal and Orange the 1800 GSM . 2008 MY Supercharged

Im interested in your reply, as I dont want to use the phone, but cannot work out how to turn the red flashing light off. My phone has no sim and I have pressed the power buttom off.

Still it flashes

If you remove the telephone loom plug from the module in the rear near side that'll stop it Whistle You will loose the telephone option from the main menu though.

It's the standard RR phone in the central console behind the handbrake. I have put a piece of tape over the light for now.

Thanks for your comments. Ill look for the telephone loom plug too.
