Nigel they are standard with the £3000 extra Plus Pack, so yes!

When What Car did a first drive test they weren't very enthusiastic about it, but in this months edition they test a 5door diesel against 3 other SUVs and it won, then they tested the petrol Coupe against a TT 2.0TSI and the new Merc Coupe. The TT won by a small margin over the Evoque Coupe and the Merc came 3rd 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Well guys I have to say the Evoque is way more of a Range Rover than the RRS was at launch. RRS has since caught up on the quality of materials front.

Now to upset you all............................. you all NEED to go for a test drive, I think you will be staggered at how well build and finished the car is. Much better than anything I have had new out of the Solihull plant, there just are not squeaks, rattles or groans.

I have posted a stage by stage trip report of my run north today here on the babyRR forum http://babyrr.com/forum/Thread-The-maiden-voyage

It may be a very very expensive small car (and it is small) as mine ended up costing £51000 at the end of the day. That is a huge wedge of dosh for a car that would almost fit in the back of a FFRR!

Impressions - Land Rover has a winner on it's hands. I managed to get up to 47mpg at one stage on the run down from Beattock summit to Glasgow, even on the leg from Hanger lane London to Sandbach services on an engine that left London with only 18 miles on the Odo the high 30's was pretty good on a tight new engine. The car cruises almost silently - certainly (apart from tyre noise) as quietly as the FFRR. The 2.2l TD is almost silent on the cruise but get a bit loud when you decide to play a bit. There is absolutely no wind noise whatsoever round the A pillar or mirrors and even on the elevated section of the M6 the car was no noisier over the expansion joints than the FFRR. To get change out of £70 for putting 3/4 of a tank of diesel in the car is a nice feeling too Rolling with laughter 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Tim -my young son has just looked over my shoulder at the pictures of your new toy.

"Woah - that is one sick ride" he announced

Question Rolling Eyes

However -you need not worry - after translating the strange statement made by my 11yr old wannabe gangster son...

...I believe this means he considers it to be a superb looking vehicle!

Congrats again - glad to read how pleased you are with it after your maiden voyage - Enjoy Thumbs Up

Scotland 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Had a brief test drive today, and felt it was very "car" like, which I suppose is good.

Build quality looks very good, but I was rather surprised to see a few things that point to some cost savings.

1. No grab handles above any of the doors.

2. The switches on the seats don't have any indication as to what way they're going to move the seats!

3. The seats on the 3 door don't appear to have a way to move them forward quickly to allow passengers into the back in a hurry if it's wet - as it was today! And unless the sales guy didn't know his product, there isn't a way to get the seat back to its original position when it's put back.

4. No full size spare wheel.

Coming out of an FFRR the windows seem really small, and made the car feel a bit claustrophobic, but I guess that's a matter of getting used to.
I also thought the rear window was very small!

Interestingly enough all the Evoques had a wonderfully rich leather smell and yet a brand new Vogue with a similar amount of cow skin didn't?

I also though the panoramic roof looks fantastic! Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Heres the rear view view

Having driven mine now for 2 days, I've not found it to be a problem, but lowering the rear head restraints has helped to increase the view out.

I took it greenlaning today too........................... http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/joll...20Offroad/

Great pictures Tim, not the best of weather for greenlaning though.

Not really John but no need to wash the car when I got home - one advantage of a smaller car is that driving through standing water on the loch road on the way home washed most of the dirt off and onto somebody else's car!
Just noticed in that picture that the darned courtesy light had switched on again, they are the Jaguar lights and are touch sensitive rather than push a switch and the touch sensitive surface is very, very sensitive which results in the lights being switched on accidentally a lot!

One thing LR has listened to my whinges about is the auto-on headlight system - as well as having very bright daylight running lights the dipped beams now switch on even in rain so they must have adjusted the sensitivity of the light sensor, so I now use the auto-on setting. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
