Sat nav, cd player, reverse cam, screen not working

None of the above functions are working on my 2007 vse

all that happens is I turn on the car, the land rover logo comes up and the screen on/off button flashes
Ii have checked for water ingress in the boot but doesn't seem to be damp.

Power is getting to sat nav dvd etc

Any help would be great

cheers Rory

have sometimes the same problem: the whole system is stuck on the boot screen.

have it around once a month.. Then when I shut the car down and come back 10-15min later everything works Confused

did you check all the fuses which are related to the multimedia system? (I havent but I should do it tomorrow)

Also check the phone module, if that not connected it shuts down.

I have left it sitting last night, and disconnected the battery for an hour.

I will have to get it booked into land rover on Monday, cheers

Oh I forgot to ask: does this always happen?

or is it just from time to time and it works after a complete restart?

Mine sometimes needs 2 minutes to start or it needs a reset

you can check the fibre optics,if one isnt connected properly,it wont start.

well I would start with the connections which are easy to check. (in the boot)

Did you try if it works now?

Mine normally does work again after a reset of the car. (this afternoon after the gym it didnt work. Well the SC Sound was okay Very Happy )

When I got home I parked the car for 20min and went to the stable later. When I started the car everything worked as normal.

Strange,isnt'it?

If the phone module is disconnected or :censored:ed then it gives the same symptoms.

Have you disconnected the module, both connections, then re connected?

The MOST fibre optics are connected in a loop. So if you disconnect any of the MOST connectors, the system stops. In my 2006 MY S/C the Bluetooth module was f Censored ed so the previous owner/workshop took the MOST connector out and "looped" it.

I changed the BT module (thanks to Adrian) and Andy got me a new MOST connector so all is well.

First thing to check is whether all the MOST connectors are in and also if they are clean (unplug them to check). Also check if the red light is on (ignition on) when the MOST connector is unplugged so you know there is data going round.

The BT module problem looks like it is caused by moisture (condensation ??) and since it is the top unit (left hand side rear compartment) probably the first to get affected. Still, it could be one of the other units in there. So try to find out which unit is the culprit. You may have to go to a specialist on this.

Good luck. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

its a feature not a bug as they say does it very occasionlly on mine did it this morning switched off engine came back 5 mins later and works again, i think its something to do with damp, always happens when it has been a bad night, low pressure and what not, i learn to live with it as i know it will come back

happend twice this year
