For those of you riveted to my 4 euro halfords post I now bring you my 13.50 on ebay purchase. Its a piece of Italian leather that is two tone on colour black and sand. Unfortunately its proving to be an absolute to fit. Its designed to be had sewn around the wheel but the thread that it came with is simply not stong enough to pull leather together around width of wheel. I ordered kevlar thread from ebay as a last ditch option so hopefully I can bring you pics soon. It should look very good if I get it fitted though. I also tried Fishing Line but this wasnt strong enough either and looked tacky. Any suggestions welcome  Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Sounds like a nightmare to fit.
My suggestion would be to buy a posh steering wheel from powerful uk  FFRR TD6 HSE
Adriatic Blue with Parchment leather.

this is fantastic braided thread, virtually unbreakable and available usually in different colours - I use it for repairing shooting clobber - gun cases etc

google how to saddle stitch, there are loads of tutorials and it is very satisfying
