It had to happen eventually I suppose, my car has been pretty much trouble free and good to me. However, I was driving to a shoot today and went to accelerate as normal, the revs got to 3,000rpm and then started stuttering and wouldn't go any further and the car wouldn't accelerate normally.

I have a friend with a 2004 Td6 that refused to go over 3000rpm and he replaced the auxiliary fuel pump (the one under the car, not in the fuel tank) which cured it. The symptoms were the same, stuttering, lack in acceleration... |

Well usually when somebody has a car as reliable as yours has been then something goes wrong with it and as you say you are happy that you have not had to spend too much on it .

By the way, the dealer charged me £400 for this all in and I may be imagining things but the old girl seems a bit perkier.
