2005 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Giverny Green

Folding mirrors not working correct

Today when i drove away w my car only
one of the mirrors reacted when i pushed
the button for "opening" the mirrors
( not sure which is the correct word for
this in english).
Anyway, now when i try to fold them
one stays open and one folds, i push
again the other one folds and the oposite
opens. And it goes on like that.
What is this and what can i do?

I forgot to say that i checked wiki and
did what was said there. But still out of sync.

dooh!......i would try a few times if that dont work have you tried the wd40 on the micro-switch... ... - .- -.

Failed Micro-switch

There is a micro-switch in the mirror that reports back to the ECU that the mirror has folded successfully, if it does not receive this message after a set time it reverses the mirror to avoid damaging the motor. This switch can fail for a variety of reasons from water ingress to a spiders nest.

If you have persistent mirror problems it is worthwhile to investigate the state of the switch, often a visual inspection will tell you where the problem lies and a small squirt of WD40 in the switch can often save your hundreds.

that button a little. Then all of a sudden
they were in sync.
