could be a loose cable on the starter or solenoid. We have this frequently on tractors. If the cable terminals are not tightened down fully, there is enough power getting through to engage the starter and give a jolt, but not enough through the contact to turn the engine - on a tractor you can wiggle the contacts and turn the key and it always works, bit more difficult on a RR unless you have really really long arms or a handy passing monkey who will oblige |
