2010 Steering Wheel Controls

Hi all

Has anyone been able to get the 2010 steering wheel controls to work on the 2002 - 2009 FF?

I think they look better but have read they won't work due to changes in vehicle software on the 2010 but seeing people fit the 2010 paddle shift made me wonder if the controls are also open to this sort of retrofit?

Thanks

Carl

Shocked i still have nightmares that someone has found out how to do it and not told me, there is meant to be a box of tricks that convert the can bus commands and converts them back to the ibus but i never found it, V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Christian (GAP Diagnostic) once posted that he could do it, Dave - to you I believe (might be mistaken tho).

Basically the architecture of the IIDTool would allow a 'translation module' to be built relatively quickly. But we haven't gone down that road yet. Too much going on oherwise. The official product launch is not far off...

I have a 2007 MY would the retrofit kit be different to that required for the 2002 for example?

i think you will find the switches are the same right up to 2009 then they changed to the 2010 style and they use the 128 bit canbus system, i think thats what its called, colin from bbs spy has done it on a disco and said the gateway module was the key but he was busy and it was put on the back burner. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Colin from BBS yes. He will hopefully get back on track with this now that he has moved into his new shop, as I (and a few others) have a 2010 RRS wheel collecting dust waiting for fitment to my wife's '07 RRS

Come on Colin Thumbs Up
