good day yesterday and a hard one today cleaning the range..i think greg has been cleaning his since about 8am..

Just got in from cleaning mine. This is after three fords and an automated car wash yesterday.

Lightly pressure washed the engine (low pressure) which was covered in light mud. Most of the heavy mud was in the wheel wells and in my side steps. All around the door frames and inside lots of panels there is also evidence of mud. It will never all come out but what the hell... it is an off-roader by heritage.

One good thing is that I remembered to put the rubber mats in so they were easy to clean. Got the carpet back in now so all plush again!

On the downside there are some pretty heavy scratches on the drivers door - hopefully T-cut or similar will do it. Any recommendations?

i think we all suffered the scratches down the sides nomad, thats life..

the day after , not as dirty as last time but then you learn to be a bit more careful going through them puddles. ....

Guys looks like you had a great day out !!

Perhaps we should try to get a weekend together ? perhaps in the Peak District, its a stunning area and nice and compact. Different terrain to the plains it really it can give the suspension a good work out.

One thing I have learned from experiancing Salisbury Plain is that I should have paid more attention to cleaning out the radiators and intercooler !!! the mud gets well in to them and it was only really cured when I removed the intercooler and the radiator.

The mud I cleaned off today was full of little stones as well. Kept oouzing out of the front grill when I passed the pressure washer over it.  FFRR TD6 HSE

My FFRR is still oozing Salisbury Plain mud into the door shuts and from below the front grille from when I took off road in the plain back in April.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking it off road, but it the clean up that followed means I'm unlikely to do it again

Get snow foam into everything and leave it for a fair while to soak in and then rinse off with a slow hose

same on engine bay, its designed to be half sunk in water so some splashing around wont kill it

Should be fine in Landy bay as everything Is sealed in if your worrie get autoglym engine cleaner an spray it in and use an old toothbrush for tight areas

I'll need to extend the toothbrush to reach some areas the mud has got. I was using my wheel brush earlier which was doing a pretty good job. FFRR TD6 HSE
