Do you have the towing module already? Is the kit you have genuine LR?

There is NO programming that the dealer does. As soon as you plug in the towing module/ECU the car knows it has towing electrics installed. If you dont have this module then expect to have to buy one...

For this very reason I have always ensured I have fitted genuine LR towing electrics. Generally paid about £100 in total...

M90 deffo dont bother with 'generic' ones with LR specific botching, they aren't worth it and the proper LR kit and module is a real doddle to install and saves its money back in time saved installing and proper water protection from the rear should you ever wade deep enough Smile
