Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I think the wires in the sump are OK as when power is applied directly to the plug in the sump (so I have been told by my garage) it al works OK.

Same here, heating is very weak. Cooling is OK though and was very nice last year in the South of France. The heated seats of my wifes Freelander 2 are much better at heating.
