If I had to guess I would assume the AC to AD is merely a revision update.
Since the rest of the number is the same, I would not be concerned about fitting it, if all connections are the same.

My battery is dying at present (wouldn't start this morning, despite being driven yesterday), so time for a change.

Its currently fitted with a yuasa 5000 YBX5019, which I dont think is an AGM type ...

Locks asside, I compared the electric tailgate rams from the evoque for the l322 top opening.
They are too big diameter wise to fit into the rain channel down both sides of the opening.
