Be a lot easier to fit a self contained diesel night heater when you need it. Wouldn’t be too difficult to deal with the flue pipe requirement.

The pink or orange is only for 2006 vehicles onwards. All the BMW engined cars use ethylene glycol, blue.
It’s also listed in the handbook.  |

I would guess the alternator diodes are on the way out hence the current drain and the alternator voltage not what it should be. No doubt someone will correct me.  |
