Fully charged, with no load, should be 12.7v. That will quickly reduce, though, with any sort of load so hard to test and get a reliable value without disconnecting the battery from the car.

It won’t run if the battery is even a little bit low. With engine running, alternator will provide plenty of power. That sounds like the most likely reason to me.

Parking brake is not applied automatically on MY 2010. I understand that can be enabled in CCF from 2011 onwards. Even then, it is applied when ignition turned off, not when door is opened.
