In addition to blanking it any good engine mapper can stop the EGR signal being sent to open it and force it to stay closed at any time.

| As the EGR on the Td6 is purely mechanical, there’s no need for a kit; just remove the vacuum rubber hose from the EGR, plug a peg in it (I used a Pilates ball peg) and strap it to something. No need ... |

If you only have a maximum of 6v you have a bad connection somewhere.
Have you had a close look at the bulb holders, corrosion of the contacts?
Might be worth using a bit of fine emery on the contac ... |

I would just take the rubber spoiler off, won't make a lot of difference to the wiper performance unless you like to get about rather quickly.
