New phone bought at the weekend does work better than old one... will test properly tomorrow.
But does that mean I’ll have to replace my older but functioning TomTom?

No, they struggled to understand the problem to be honest.
“Why not use the car’s SatNav?” was the best they could do.
Expect I’m unlucky and other dealers might be better?... but then again ... |

Believe it was an option, yes.
Also saw something about it was needed if you had the heads up display. The markings on the glass do have a "HUD" marking as well as the solar attenuation ... |

Resurrecting this thread, but yes, I'm having GPS problems for a phone or a TomTom inside the car.
I think I have narrowed it down to having a solar attenuating screen which plays havoc with the GP ... |

These are my 7007 Turbines that were just refinished in the "Black Pack" color which have dark gray spokes and gloss black sides and centers. Very tricky paint job!!!
