I had some thick walled vacuum hose that just happened to fit. It would be nice to see a picture of someone else's hoses to see if mine were distorted. I will try and post a picture of mine.

Do the hoses you found collapsed go around the front left engine cover strut? Two of mine look collapsed as they go around the strut.

Yes mate. I just cut the hose into 4 x 56mm lengths using the jubilee clip as a guide to cut it square.
