Mine has the date as well but can't see the time either.
With my up close eye sight not getting any better I don't mind using the "old fashioned" clock.
Mine's a 2008 modell as well.

Haven't had time to research the inconvenience in the dash yet but did a quick look-see with the GAP again to make a screenshot of the fault code.

Any one had this and found the problem perchance ? ...

If the government wants you to buy a different vehicle (diesel/petrol/green/lpg/pick another reason) then you can count on it you'll be taxed to smithereens for it a few years on.

Germany is not too bad. It's around €550 per annum for a Euro 4 3.6 tdv8.

No, that doesn't include insurance, maintenance or fuel...

Did you check if there is a fault code logged for the old sensor and did you clear it ?
