I would say slightly worse when hot. I put an omiscan on the car and gearbox temp was 79 centigrade.

Possibly the glowplug?
I had a similar issue with an aux heater on, dare I say, a Galaxy diesel  , Changed the unit's glow plug and all was fine.
Then the head gasket went!  |

I went with Warrantywise purely on the recomendation of Gaz as he does them with his used cars.
Again, mainly for the drivetrain but I took the Platinum cover which is supposed to cover all.

| I think you will find it's a 5w30 fully sythetic. I think the dealers like to use Castrol but am sure any of the correct spec oils will suffice |
