just a quick update on this, AliExpress Peltier unit fitted - fairly easy swap out. Cost around £32 and works a treat!
Happy to assist if anyone is thinking about doing it and unsure.

With apologies, not sure why it hadn't updated, hopefully it has now.
It's a 2008 TDV8 - it's the three button key fob (same as D3 of the same era).

Fuel gauge - faulty sender unit (corroded connections) - LR have a recommended 'fix' that costs circa 200 unless you have warranty.
