No power when reversing on full lock

Hi folks,

Bit of an issue looming I think - was hoping you may be able to help me diagnose....

Was reversing on full lock today and there was no drive. It felt a bit like when pulling away in deep snow with the snow program selected, i.e. you press the throttle a long way down but you get no revs. Fine in forwards and when reversing on a lesser steering angle.

I was in access height mode - don't know if that would make a difference?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance! -----------------------------------------------

Do it again and see if it does the same thing... If so, get out and check the obvious... Stone under wheel, Mud flap touching tyre etc etc, if not put it up to next height and try again... We need alittle more info to try and help...

Stupid question but you didn't have your foot on the brake at the same time as the accelerator did you?
Occasionally when in my work boots I hit both pedals at once.

The older Freeloaders used to have this problem.

It was due to a viscous coupling failure. No idea if the same thing can happen in the fullfat or related to a central diff problem....I am sure someone else will fill us in with more info. Embarassed

The rr has a torque biasing centre diff, which when it senses less or more grip front to rear will automatically try to adjust where the power goes.

On flat though it should really make much difference since all wheels have good grip.

I'd go with the other ideas first to see if it can be repeated ( does it do it on both sides of th lock ) and see if it's sticking on something .... I'd wager that's more likely especially if in access mode. V8 or else ...
