Spoke to IID but they weren't able to identify which part. Very helpful and suggested the heater Any thoughts would be gratefully received 2015 4.4 AB

Hi all, just for anyone else with an SE L322 with the heated / cooled seats. My drivers has never worked and it turned out to be part number HHK500060. This is the blower motor for the heated part of the seat. The motor is fine but there is a 90 degree angle piece of abs / plastic that carries the air from the motor / fan to the seat. The angled piece rests against a seat spar that if you push against the seat back hard as you sit in the seat , the part can crack and the air can escape causing the motor / fan to stop because its not getting the reading it expects

Finally a heated seat. As above new part arrived from Germany and my indie removed the drivers seat , removed the back of the seat and three screws later and a connector block and the damaged part was removed. , the new unit went straight in and panel on , seat back in and hey presto , heated seat.

The old part ( which connects the motor and fan ) is cracked and not repairable but the motor and fan are perfect , my son is asking one of his college professors if they can make a replacement part with their 3D printer. If so the old unit will be serviceable again. On opening the seat it appears the unit has been changed before so maybe a design fault if you a larger gentleman and can crush the unit against the seat spar / support.

Part cost 160 euro and indie charged 50 euro labour All in all a bargain with the cold mornings starting !!

My next cold protection fix is getting the remote FBH remote control I bought from a forum member a tele start receiver unit , next time I'll check first to see if I have the relevant part fitted before buying the remote !!!! 2015 4.4 AB

I think I may have the same problem.

Does anyone have details of how to remove the seat back and if this can be done with the seat in situ?

Cheers,

ANDREW

Seat needs to come out to replace but if you remove the armrest you can pull back the seat back cover to see if that's the issue Taking the seat out is easy enough 2015 4.4 AB

I had the same two codes plus one for the seat switch lost comms

a couple of technical taps to the seat switchgear appears to have fixed the issue - so far Laughing

+1 for the split pipe.

I didn't have heat (or cool) in the drivers seat for 2 years. The pipe had split in exactly the same place. I've bodged it with aluminium tape, gaffer tape and a few cable ties. To be honest it's probably tougher now than it was originally, so I'm planning to see how long the repair/bodge lasts before I consider replacement. That being said replacement is an easy enough job.

Lovely warm bum now. Thanks for the heads up.

I have cooling but no heating on the drivers seat. you can hear the fan start when you set it to heating, but then it shuts down within a few seconds. Does it use the same fan unit and sensor for both? If so I guess it must be the control module and not broken pipework in the seat?
