Front suspension

I noticed a strange noise coming from the front passenager side of the vechile when going over bumps. When I got home i did a quick once over and notice the airbag on that side is softer then the one on the drivers side. The passenger side is holding air and not on the bump stops. There are currently no fault codes. I am asuming there is a small hole somewhere and that is preventing the strut from completely filling with air. The struts are original. I would like to know if there is anything else I should check before i order some front struts.

I change the passenger side strut last night and the noise appears to be gone and the strut is as tight and the drivers side. I guess I'll be changing the drivers side in the next couple of weeks when I get some time.

mine is doing the same thing and i've disconnected the n/s anti roll bar link and noise goes away but the bag does seem soft compared to o/s which i changed last year. i think that the noise is being amplified by the bag being soft. new a/roll link fitted, bottom ball joint and bottom arm. ideas?

If the air bag is soft, the strut may be contracting further than it is designed to do and the anti roll link may be hitting the wheel arch or hitting something else creating the noise. I am not sure if the strut it self makes a sound when it is resting to the bump stops.

I've had a few Air suspension errors for a while an the code is getting is "too much energy req to regulate front axel". I emailed storey and he said it was the front bag gone and compressor was working to much to keep it full. I've got not change in height etc when stationary so decided to leave untill it shows other signs. But apparently that's the error you will get if you bag is fubar. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
