A very deep clean of the interior using a paintbrush to get in all the nooks and crannies.

Good clean of the leather, twice in one day this week so i could do the below...

Every time I washed mine, I gave it a quick dusting with some satin black high temp. paint. Made it look that bit tidier from behind. 2006 Mercedes CLS

Pre-09 - it has to be LED sidelight bulbs so that they match the headlights

Add some stainless sill plate protectors to stop the wear as you get in and out. Less than £30 if I remember right - off the bay.

An upgrade to the BM54 radio was a must for me, not exactly cheap at around £100, but much better quality sound and double the power on the pre 2005 models.

Have removed the EGR. Who wants all that exhaust muck going back in the engine ? Around £40 if I remember right.

Replace the crankcase breather with the upgraded BMW unit. Less that £20 for the "element"......

Add a K&N for around £50.........better pickup from low revs.........

Fit the Land Rover "water ingress bag" over the DVD and Nav systems etc, for around £7. Not necessarilly needed, but added peace of mind. Part Number: EOT500030

If you have the posh overcarpets, purchase some genuine Land Rover rubber mats for winter use. Got mine for £10 off the bay, but cost around £40 in fuel to collect.........

And the rubber protection strips, for the rear wheel arches, to stop the rust on the lip, less than £20 for 4 strips from Land Rover. Never fitted as standard, but they are fitted to the Range Rover Sport........

Both are relatively cheap and easy to fit too.....

Not a modification as such, but I believe the biggest single improvement you can make to any car is to properly clean, polish and wax it. Tyre shine, clean wheels, trim windows, leather and full interior detail. Engine clean. The lot.

I would kill to be able to do mine properly but the best I can do is either those boys at Sainsbury's or one of those Eastern European outfits. Sad thing is that I can get all of the decent polishes, machines, microfibres etc from work so outlay is v little  Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Can you get body coloured door handle exterior covers in any colour? I have only seen them in maybe black and silver colours? I need Epsom green ones maybe just the stick on ones if they are any good. Anyone used them?

I've used them twice once on my silver FF and now on my Black FF , never had any problem with them
