nice car, wondered what other's objective opinions would be on the following:

2007 57 (Dec) TDV8 Vogue
7500 miles only
1 owner (very old boy)
Immaculate inside and out, like a new car
Std Vogue spec, nothing added
Silver with Full black leather and black piano wood
Std 19" alloys

Asking price £41K

The negatives for me:

No factory privacy glass (£500)
No towbar (£1000?)
No SC Grille and vents (£350)

Took it for a drive and noticed a bit if a thump in the drivetrain when changing from 1st to 2nd (slimey salesman said he couldn't feel anything) and also sometimes on the downchange. Otherwise, like a new Vogue but with a lot of value scrubbed already.

I had promised that my next one would have factory privacy as a minimum but this car is in such good nick and so low miles.....tempting.

sounds nice BUT if you want the extras on your next purchase hold out as good things come to those who wait after all your not asking for the impossible just saves extra outlay  onto no6 Range Rover

I can live with the lack of towbar, not many have it.

Factory privacy is getting rarer, less people are speccing it on new cars over the last couple of years.

Grille and vents are easy enough to swap.

Would also like some 20" alloys on my next one, plenty of styles to choose from. Discovery 4 HSE

If you are swithering over it, then sorry to say your hearts not in it,and the thumping sound you heard will always be at the back of your head if you buy it, warranty or no warranty.

Must have been a very old boy if he only covered 7500 miles, but then again stranger things have happened...

Me i would hang fire and wait for the right car with the right spec coz they are not that hard to find ........

Anyhow Adam another 21k gets you a 2010 model ..............

Much as I'd like a 2010 model, they're too much money still. I think I have to agree the fact that the salesman is slimey, the car is bog standard and that thump does worry me a little (mine is silky smooth even at 89K).

As you say, there's plenty of them and I'm not in a rush so I shall skip it.

There was a silver D4 HSE in the showroom, they DO look nice, shame about the front seats, too basic, the new RR Sport seats are much more like it. Discovery 4 HSE

Bide your time, as the 2010 models start to hit the streets there will be many more older TDV8's coming on to the market, As Christmas is approaching and sales start slowing even more deals to be had.

Just my opinion of course
