If you don't get any joy with Dr Speth , contact Mr Carl-Peter Forster, the recently appointed Group Chief Executive Officer of Tata Motors whom Dr Speth has to report to ... Thumbs Up

Mr Ravi Kant, Vice Chairman, Tata Motors said "The introduction of Dr. Ralf Speth into Jaguar Land Rover under the guidance of Carl-Peter Forster will considerably strengthen the management of the Company and enhance the position and reputation of the two iconic brands in line with the long term strategy of the Company." …..

Just test drove a D4 XS as possible replacement for the Wag Rover Sport and I liked it Embarassed

I found steering a bit heavier and ride a bit bouncy/rough compared to the Vogue/Sport but not a deal breaker Confused

SWMBO didn't like it though so looking at a 2011 Vogue SE next subject to some figures Whistle

I think part of problem is going down spec from HSE through no fault of our own is clouding our judgement Embarassed

After 7 weeks of this I don't really know if I am coming or going and being unable to get away with van at weekends to recharge hasn't helped either Evil or Very Mad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Muddy,

The D4 is harder, and heavier...
I can understand what you mean about feeling like your downgrading from the RRS to the HSE specs. you feel it because it WOULD be a downgrade. No offence to D3/4 HSE owners but the spec is lower.

If you can get into a GOOD vogue 2011 model then go for it.

I'd clearly state to them the caveat that if it fecks up just once, and ONCE alone on ANYTHING within 4 weeks your wanting your money back end of. this should get some good fear in them and hopefully mean a tech goes over it with a fine tooth comb and pushes and prods EVERY buttons and switch and handle to make sure its all good Smile

Well LRCS are passing the buck to the dealer and not interested Sad

The dealer has offered a Westminster replacement for £800 more than I can buy one from broadspeed that they say they will make nothing on - so broadspeed must be subsidising them Whistle

Looks like best option is to get the RRS fixed and sell it Embarassed

One life - live it! Sorry to hear this mate.

All dealers say they don't make anything when they have to offer a discount. Rolling Eyes

As far as I know Broadspeed get the vehicle supplied through a main dealer, so you'd pick it up from the main dealer anyway !
If you really want to get one, go back to the DP with the quote from broadspeed. Tell them you'll be happy if they match & give you "X" for the sport.

Have they agreed to get the repair re-done & properly this time ?

If LRCS have passed the buck, can you get something in writing from them that they agree the dealership should get your car repaired properly though ? Can they not help with getting that sorted ?
