Sorry to hear of your probs. You have picked a relatively good time, though. Prices on TD6 motors and components have dropped considerably in the last year or so.

Crankcase breather leads to turbo probs. Was this serviced regularly? There is a new cyclone breather avail from BMW as well. Part numbers are floating around the forum.
