Engine management light and poor brakes

I replaced both rear calipers today and since then the brake pedal is sinking all the time and 5 minutes later the engine management light came on.
I'm not sure if these are a coincidence. The brakes were like this before i changed them but not as bad, I searched online a bit and Some say its a vacuum issue. The fault codes are p0171 and p0174 system to lean
Any ideas ?

As stan says...... I would run half a bottle at least through each bleed valve to make sure air was out of the system. Previously..

What's the brake peddle like with the engine off?
Does it still sink or is it hard & with little movement?
If you keep the pressure on the peddle and start the engine, what happens to the peddle?

The pedal is good when the car is off
I will bleed them better tommorrow night.
As for the fault codes, who knows it's getting looked at tommorrow

Well I bled them properly tonight and they are now perfect. I think the air in the system caused the engine vacuum to be sending dodgy signals to the ecu and that was the cause of the engine management light to come on
Seems to be ok now Thumbs Up

You only need to bleed the part of the system that you disturbed. As in front or back, then start at passenger side.
